Budgam, Jul 22 (KNO): The Doodhpathri Development Authority (DDA) on Wednesday announced the temporary closure of the famous tourist destination in Central Kashmir's Budgam district due to incessant rainfall and the threat of flash floods and landslides on approach roads. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Doodhpathri Development Authority, Riyaz Ahmad, told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the decision has been taken in view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions to ensure the safety of tourists and the general public. "Due to the unfavorable weather conditions, continuous rainfall, and the risk of flash floods and landslides, Doodhpathri will remain temporarily closed for visitors until the weather improves significantly," he said.
